Jamie Carragher says Liverpools's signing of Joe Cole acts as a warning that the club still means business.
Former Chelsea midfielder Cole agreed terms on a four-year contract on Monday and flew to the clubs Switzerland training camp to have a medical. After a disappointing 7th placed finish in the Barclays Premier League last season, and with no Champions League football to look forward to in the coming months, there was a concern Liverpool would struggle to attract top quality signings.
However Carragher believes the arrival of his England team-mate Cole, who was a free agent after being released by the Barclays Premier League Champions, shows those fears are unfounded.
